Last weekend we visited Newburyport, Massachusetts and were charmed by its beauty and history. Newburyport, nestled on the picturesque shores of the Atlantic Ocean just south of the New Hampshire border, is not only a scenic coastal town but also a hub of rich historical significance. Stepping into Newburyport is like entering a living museum, where every corner whispers tales of its storied past.
During our visit, we had the pleasure of staying at the esteemed Garrison Inn, a charming establishment named after the renowned abolitionist William Lloyd Garrison. Garrison, a prominent figure in American history, dedicated his life to the fight against slavery and advocated passionately for women’s right to vote. The inn pays homage to his legacy, providing guests with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the historical fabric of the town.
