What should I expect following breast augmentation surgery?
Most patients experience mild discomfort for two to three days following surgery, and Dr. Ekstrom may recommend that you wear a special sports bra. After that point, most women are able to resume regular activities as long as they are not too strenuous. Most of the post-operative swelling will subside in a few weeks, and you can then fully appreciate your results and return to normal activities, such as vigorous exercise. How long do breast implants last?
Although breast implants typically last 10 to 20 years before requiring replacement, in some cases, they may require revision before that time. Dr. Ekstrom and our staff of specialists will help you to recognize signs of any problems or complications that may require the removal or exchange of your implants.
