Dr. Deborah K. Ekstrom
Dr. Deborah K. Ekstrom is a native of the Midwestern US and has adopted New England as her home for the past 30 years.
Dr. Ekstrom is an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon. Her special interests include breast surgery, facial rejuvenation using liposuction, dermal fillers and Beauty injections®, and body contouring using a variety of state-of-the art techniques. Dr. Ekstrom works with both Mentor Corporation and McGhan (Allergan) implant companies as an investigator using silicone implants in reconstruction and breast lift patients. She offers “quick recovery” breast augmentation and in-office small volume liposuction in which you save money by paying no hospital fees and no general anesthesia. Customized tummy tuck procedures are also one of her interests.
Watercolor painting, glass flame work, and photography are included in Dr. Ekstrom’s artistic interests, and she enjoys gardening and teaching financial and investment skills to women. Dr. Ekstrom raised two sons and a daughter, now grown, and resides in the central Massachusetts area.

Dr. Deborah Ekstrom
Dr. Ekstrom completed her undergraduate education at the University of Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1978. Her initial training in Minneapolis included surgery, micro surgery and psychiatry.
In 1983, Dr. Ekstrom entered plastic surgery training at UMass Medical Center and became an associate professor. She then went into private practice with her special professional interests including face and body contouring.

Dr Ekstrom is an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. She has been performing plastic and reconstructive surgery since 1990. She is active in boards of local health plans and has been an advisor to the hospital CEO on the advisory council of Memorial Hospital in the past. She has done an extensive array of non and minimally invasive modalities such as Thermi-tight, Body Tight, Renuvion, and Votiva for aesthetic improvement. She is an expert in neurotoxins for wrinkles, as well as fillers and fat transfers for facial and body rejuvenation.
Her special interests include breast surgery, facial rejuvenation using liposuction, dermal fillers and Dysport and Beauty injections and body contouring using a variety of state-of-the art techniques. Dr. Juris Bunkis, MD FACS
Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Juris Bunkis, is the Medical Director and Owner of Orange County Plastic Surgery in both Newport Beach, CA and Salisbury Plastic Surgery in Worcester, MA.
Dr. Juris Bunkis graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1974. This was followed by a five year general surgery residency at Columbia University and board certification in general surgery, and a two year plastic surgery residency at Harvard University. Dr. Bunkis is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1981, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bunkis is the Medical Director of Orange County Plastic Surgery in Newport Beach, CA. He joins Salisbury Plastic Surgery as an associate, on a part time basis, while maintaining his position in California.
Dr. Bunkis graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1974. This was followed by a five year general surgery residency at Columbia University and board certification in general surgery, and a two year plastic surgery residency at Harvard University. Dr. Bunkis served as a Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Harvard University from 1979-81 and subsequently as Assistant Professor in Surgery, at the University of California, San Francisco. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He has been in private aesthetic practice since 1983. Dr. Bunkis has also served for the past ten years as a voluntary Deputy with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and serves as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Latvia in Southern California.
Dr. Juris Bunkis is an internationally known plastic surgeon, diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bunkis is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Massachusetts Medical Society, Canadian Society for Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgery, Latvian Medical and Dental Association, Plastic Surgery Research Council and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Bunkis has published more than 40 scientific publications, abstracts and book reviews, and 17 book chapters in plastic surgery text books.
Dr. Bunkis specializes in facial rejuvenation procedures such as his Natural “A to V” Facelifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgery and nasal surgery (internal rhinoplasty without external scars). Makayla Porter M.S., PA-C is a board certified physician assistant dedicated to helping patients look and feel like the best version of themselves, while striving for natural results. Makayla graduated from University of Bridgeport with a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies after completing her bachelors degree in biology at Fitchburg State University. Some of her areas of interest include cosmetic injections and in-office procedures, and she has a strong commitment to continuing education and staying up to date on new treatment modalities. When not in the office, Makayla enjoys spending time with family, cooking, interior decorating, and hiking.

In the field of aesthetics since 1996, Sonia has a varied background working alongside dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and the busy med spa, as well as teaching at an aesthetic trade school.
Sonia’s special interests include laser skin rejuvenation, chemical peel resurfacing, and developing personalized skin care programs to fit the lifestyle of each of her clients.
