How much does skinpen® cost?

Skinpen® treatments will vary, since they are customized to each patient, and therefore the cost will vary as well. While some patients see visible results following the very first session, a series of three treatments spaced 30 days apart are recommended. Our office offers flexible financing options as well as accepting a variety of payment methods to make payments more convenient for each patient.

Am I a candidate for skinpen®?

Skinpen® treatments are for all patients and all skin types. Unlike laser treatments that involve heat and can not be safely performed on all skin types, Skinpen® generates your body’s natural wound healing response so is ideal for anyone looking for smoother, firmer and healthier skin.

How is skinpen® performed?

Before the SkinPen® treatment, if pretreatment numbing is desired, a topical anesthetic will be applied. The treatment area will be thoroughly cleansed and then prepared with isopropyl alcohol before the treatment. A layer of Skinfuse Lift HG is applied to the treatment area to protect the skin and provide a glide to the SkinPen® device during treatment. As the SkinPen® glides over the skin, micro-channels are created on the skins surface. The SkinPen® Precision treatment may cause some minor discomfort during after the treatment. Your doctor may recommend that a topical numbing agent be used during treatment to further minimize discomfort.

What is recovery like after skinpen®?

Microneedling treatments such as Skinpen® require little to no downtime. After the procedure, you must avoid direct sun exposure, strenuous activities, and facial treatments for 24 hours. Initially, your skin may be red and feel a bit swollen, and in some cases, minor bleeding may also occur. These symptoms usually subside within three days. Most patients are able to resume normal activities within one or two days, and some even return to office work the same day as the procedure.

How long will my skinpen® results last?

While individual results may vary, in the clinical study, the results were evaluated 6 months after the third (final) treatment. After this, additional treatments may be needed to maintain your desired result.
