Our newest member of the OCPS team Judy is a patient coordinator and she is a fierce patient coordinator and a fierce MMA fighter! Our interview with Judy follows…
Hi Judy! When did you start MMA and how did you get involved?
At just 15 years old, I stumbled upon a gym on my way home from school and decided to give boxing a shot. Little did I know, it would transform my life in the most incredible way. From my very first day, I was hooked. The adrenaline rush, the discipline, and the sheer determination. Boxing became so much more than a sport, it became my life’s passion and it continues to shape me into the person I am today.
What motivated you?
My motivation has been driven by a long-held aspiration, I am determined to become a boxing gym owner, igniting positive transformations in people’s lives, just like it revolutionized mine. My ultimate goal is to establish a space where fierce passion and hard work mesh, enabling individuals to find newfound strength and confidence within themselves.
What is your training?
My training has been accelerating! I’ve been fortunate to work alongside legendary boxing and MMA coaches including Javier Treviño, Luke Flo, and Eric Molina, who have pushed me to my limits. Breaking barriers, I proudly became the first female coach at TITLE BOXING CLUB in McAllen, Texas, and even had the chance to expand my horizons by training with athletes across the United States. In 2020, I finally realized my dream of opening my own boxing studio, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my career.
